“As your dentist my goal is to understand your oral health goals, encourage questions, and inform you about different treatment options so we can devise a treatment plan that is specific for you. I believe that prevention is key to minimize risk for oral disease. Therefore, patient education is very important to me. I encourage patients to be proactive in fighting tooth decay and gum disease.”

Rebecca was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula, graduating from Baraga High School in 2013. After attending college at the University of Michigan, Rebecca worked at the Lac Vieux Desert Health Center (LVDHC) as a dental assistant before returning to the University of Michigan for dental school. She chose to come back to LVDHC as a dentist because she likes the sense of familiarity, and it gives her the opportunity to provide excellent dental care to patients in an underserved area; similar to what she received while growing up in the small, rural Keweenaw Bay Indian Community.

“I’m excited to be returning to LVDHC so I can provide quality dental care for the tribal community and residents in the rural UP and Northern WI. I’m looking forward to positively impacting patients’ health and self-esteem by providing patient-centered care. Having the opportunity to work here allows me to be closer to my family and friends which I couldn’t be more ecstatic about.”

Rebecca enjoys all four seasons and will most likely be doing something outdoors with her family and friends in her spare time: boating on Lake Superior, camping, hunting, ice fishing, snowshoeing, golfing, taking jeep rides, and so much more.
