The following benefit information applies to employees who obtain benefit-eligible status.


Sick Leave

The Lac Vieux Desert Health Center offers 60 hours of paid sick leave per year accrued at the rate of 1.154 hours per week to all benefit-eligible employees.


Personal Day (Available upon hire)

Each calendar year all benefit-eligible employees will be given one (1) personal day to be used by the end of year.


Paid Holidays

The Lac Vieux Desert Health Center observes Nineteen (19) paid holidays per year.


Paid Vacation (Available upon hire)

We believe in promoting a strong work-life balance for employees’ health and well-being. All benefit-eligible employees will be provided 2 weeks of vacation time upon hire and awarded annually additional time according to the following schedule:

  • After completing 5 years of Continuous Service – 3 Weeks
  • After completing 10 years of Continuous Service – 4 Weeks
  • After completing 15 years of Continuous Service – 5 Weeks
  • After completing 20 years of Continuous Service – 6 Weeks

Contractual benefit-eligible employee vacation time would be awarded per contract language.


Bereavement Leave

Immediate Family will be awarded 5 paid working days of bereavement leave.

Extended Family will be awarded 3 paid working days of bereavement leave.


Paternity and Maternity Leave

An employee qualifying for maternity leave will be paid 100% of their gross wage for eight (8) weeks of maternity leave after the birth of a child.

An employee qualifying or paternity leave will be paid 100% of their gross wage for two (2) weeks of paternity leave after the birth of a child.


Group Health Insurance (Available upon hire)

Benefit-eligible employees have the choice to select from 14 health plans offered thru the Federal Employee Health Plan. The premium cost is shared between the employee and Lac Vieux Desert Health Center.


Dental Plan (Available upon hire)

We provide a choice of two levels of dental coverage thru Delta Dental.

  • Plan One - $1,000 of coverage per person per year.
  • Plan Two - $2,000 of coverage per person per year.

Vision Plan (Available upon hire)

We offer a vision plan thru VSP.


Employee EAP

All employees are offered 3 three EAP visits thru our LVDHC Behavioral Health program.


MetLife

The Lac Vieux Desert Health Center provides a $50,000 life insurance policy and a Short-Term Disability policy paid by the employer after completing 90 days of employment. Other voluntary MetLife products available to employees are:

  • Long Term Disability
  • Accident
  • Critical Illness
  • Life/AD&D
  • Hospital Indemnity

401K

Available to all benefit-eligible employees after completing 90 days of employment. The employer contributes an amount equal to 3% of the benefit-eligible employee’s yearly base wages.


Student Loan Repayment

Some positions with in the LVDHC may be eligible for student loan repayment.
